1. S-N-O-W is a 4 letter word for a REASON. Monday we missed because of SNOW...Tuesday was a 2 hour delay because of SNOW.......and we missed today because of SNOW..... I've lost count on how many days we've missed since Christmas break because of SNOW- but it's NOT cool! We are SO far behind! Ack! However, my puppies LOVED playing this morning in the snow! They weren't calling for much, but we got almost 4 inches! (The downside- the Thirty One party I was doing tonight is now postponed til next weekend...boo!)
2. We be Jammin!!
How CUTE are these Jamberry nail wraps! I bought them back in DECEMBER but just got a chance to put them on. Mostly because I forgot about them, and then because I got so busy. I put these on Monday on Snow Day #1 for the week - and look how beautiful they are! That's washing dishes by hand (I don't have a dishwasher), showering, laundry AND cleaning the house. They look so good still. LOVE these things.
3. Happy Seuss Week!
How cute is my bulletin board! I'm in love. This board will stay up through April, because we are beginning our Human Impact and Interdependency unit in science, and then it will stay up for Earth Day. I even dressed as The Lorax yesterday for book character day, and we read The Lorax for science. Next week, we will work the story into a writing that will go up on the board.

4. Fractions
We are wrapping up our fraction unit with the study of improper fractions and mixed numbers, and my students have a good grasp on it! I'm going to do a quick quiz Monday (supposed to be today...) and then give our unit test. Next is my favorite unit -- GRAPHS! Do you have any great activities you like to do for graphing?
Here's a sneak peak of what their short quiz will look like.... super short, but just long enough for me to know who needs more work!
5. $50 for Erin Condren?!
Okay -so Polka Dot Lesson plans is giving away a $50 gift card to Erin Condren...and so is Erin Condren...I've entered EVERY giveaway for them. Seriously. I NEED a life planner. In fact, until Josh lost his job, I was going to order one. Had one all picked out - but we just can't have that expense right now. My friend Katie sells them -- I buy Jamberry and she buys Thirty One from me. They ship RIGHT to your house -and they last forever! The Lorax face was quite comical -- I glued on the eyebrows with eyelash glue - the kids said it was very hard to take me seriously with two sets of eyebrows ! Thanks for stopping by :)
DeleteHey there! I think we post next to each other because "great minds think alike!" Your dogs must be totally loving the snow which is so rare in VA! My dog just got a bath so she throws herself onto the snow and rolls around as much as possible to get rid of the dog shampoo which smells so much nicer - at least to me. It's going to be in the 40's north of Boston - that's a heat wave after this winter!

Polka Dot Lesson Plans
Love the Jamberry nails! I did the black and white polka dot and now have the Midnight Celebration that I need to try. It's just a matter of taking the green nail polish off of my fingers.
